Michael Henke 教授在植物表型、结构功能模型的应用方面有着丰富的研究经验,本次报告将主要介绍植物功能-结构模型与 GroIMP 的应用,为数据驱动的智慧农业等研究方向提供模拟分析平台。
Michael Henke is an Appointed Professor at Hunan Agricultural University, selected for the “2021 Hunan Hundred Talent Program for Foreign Professionals”. He graduated from the University of Göttingen, Germany with a PhD in computer science, worked as an assistant researcher at the French Institute of Agriculture from 2013 to 2014, as a researcher at Wageningen University, the Netherlands from 2014 to 2016, as aa senior scientist at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Research (IPK), Germany from 2017 to 2020, and as a researcher at the National Centre for Biomolecular Research, Czech Republic, from 2020 to 2022. He joined the College of Agriculture of Hunan Agricultural University in July 2022 as Professor for Smart Agriculture. He has long been engaged in plant high-throughput phenotyping and functional-structural plant modelling and their applications. Through his interdisciplinary work between computer science, biology and automation engineering, he has independently developed several plant phenotyping devices, designed and implemented image processing pipelines and algorithms and was involved in the implementation of a series of functional-structural plant models and their applications, which are widely used as at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Research, Germany, Wageningen University and Research, The Netherlands, the Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IB-CAS), The Agricultural Genomics Institute at Shenzhen (AGIS), and several of other well-known domestic and international research institutions and globally recognized technology companies, such as Bayer Life Science (Germany), and Philips Professional Lighting (The Netherlands). He led his team to win the third prize (fourth place overall) in Shenzhen Region of Creative China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2021 and the second prize (third place overall) in Agricultural Track of Dapeng Region of Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2021. He has published 14 papers as the first author in several high-level journals, such as Agricultural and Forest Meteorology, Plant Methods, etc. He has also served as a reviewer for several well-known journals, such as Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, Annals of Botany, etc. His group focuses on the development and promotion of high-throughput phenotyping, to provide data and decision-support solutions for mining of key functional genes in precision design and target-oriented breeding, the formation of important traits in agricultural organisms and their environmental adaptation, and data-driven smart agriculture and other research directions.
